Core Engine

Synopsis

Core Engine is a roleplaying game system that puts a mechanical emphasis on the feelings and goals of your characters. I always got annoyed when players would be 5-7 sessions into a game like D&D, with cool weapons and armor, beefed up characters, and that spot on their character sheet with Ideals, Bonds, Flaws, and Personality Traits was fully blank. So, I got rid of any other stats and made those four categories your main mechanical interactions with the world. While other systems might check how skilled your character is in lockpicking, Core Engine might check if that door is standing in the way of your character's goals and ambitions. 

Development Status

Currently in an Alpha (0.3) release. I had a wonderful tester who took a very detailed scour of things, and I implemented those changes and more. If you spot anything new, let me know.
